About Us

Silver Thatch is the national tree of Grand Cayman. The Silver Thatch tree grows naturally in the eastern districts of Grand Cayman and is often used in landscaping for both residential and commercial projects. It is part of the heritage of the Cayman Islands and we used the name to brand a new level of service provided to the villa guests who come to Grand Cayman for their Caribbean vacation.

Silver Thatch Plaza will be the headquarSilver Thatch Plaza Grand Caymanters for this effort and will be located in the middle of Grand Cayman on Frank Sound Road.  We will be situated on the future traffic circle intersection of the new BYPASS road from town and Frank Sound Road. Behind us is the planned “Ironwood” golf course community and development, with an Arnold Palmer 18 hole championship course and many townhomes as well as a towncenter with commerce and apartments.

Our preliminary plans are to centralize the check-in procedure, provide package receipt for guests, provide a business center with printers and computers, offer spa services and then also offer a private exercise (cardio and yoga) facility for our villa guests.

We also anticipate affiliating with a real estate company as well as being the welcome center for the Ironwood for the formative years of it’s development. We will also have some ancillary businesses in our end units…hopefully offering products and services to the villa guests.

Silver Thatch will be a cooperative venture of the two larger villa bookings agencies on island: Cayman Villas and Grand Cayman Villas & Condos. It is for the private use of the guests staying in (licensed with the Dept of Tourism) villas exclusively managed by either of those companies. This will not be used by the guests of rent-by-owner properties.
